Hi folks, went to the museum and Columbia for the first time and I was really imopressed. Saw the station for W7BU but n one was there. I'd like to visit the station when someone is there and its operating. Who do I contact to inquire about that opportunity?

Hello
I had an opportunity to be in Astoria at the beginning of august, and of course, paid a visit to the museum and to W7BU.
I was not lucky enough to find the station active and operators on board, but I had a nice chat with the "boat keeper".
I should be back within a year, and I will be pleased to meet you.
Best 73 to the team.

Greetings All ! I found your site by random web search. I was delighted to learn the LS Columbia has a station. I am from Svesen. KHS Class of 1971. I am submitting an application for membership, and hope it is favorably recieved. I hope to visit in June during field day. My SK father retired as Chief Engineer in USCGC Tupelo in Aug 1973. Tupelo frequently tended Columbia back in the day. Thank you for keeping the memory of CG radio alive. "Bravo Zulu"
